The Yellow Zebras Story
After many years in the offshore wind industry, I decided to launch Yellow Zebras Consulting in 2025 – a modern consultancy built on collaboration, a leadership mindset, and real, hands-on knowledge. This comes from nearly 20 years of going through the highs and lows of realising projects such as Belwind, London Array, Burbo Bank Extension, Borssele 1&2 and Hornsea 2. It was earned building up organisations and devising the strategy, navigating through industry ups and downs, and most importantly, working with incredible people from all over the world.

One of our guiding principles is something I call “following the fun” which means things that bring us joy are what we do. The pride of helping deliver clean energy to everyone. The excitement of preparing for smooth sailing. The adrenaline from being in the construction phase. The enjoyment of getting big and complex things done through collaboration and teamwork. We love helping others and sharing our knowledge.

Why are your zebras yellow?

Ensuring the safety of everyone on our projects is key. Yellow lines and zebra crossings appear at construction sites and busy intersections where things can get risky. They’re often temporary, but they serve an important purpose: helping people navigate safely through, and crossing to the other side whilst everything keeps moving.
That’s why our zebras are yellow. They’re a symbol of guidance and safety in complex environments – just like us. At Yellow Zebras, we help clients plan for safe projects, and when construction begins, we make sure everyone can move through the process confidently and securely.

And of course, zebras are amazing creatures. They don't live alone but thrive in herds. Just like us, they know the power of working together.
